Second Skin Aftercare

Caring for Your New Tattoo with Second Skin

Second Skin helps protect your new tattoo from dirt, friction, and external contact while the skin heals.

After Your Tattoo Session

1

Leave the Second Skin on for approximately 3–5 days, depending on your skin’s condition.

2

A small amount of blood or clear fluid beneath the film is normal during the healing process.

3

If a significant amount of fluid leaks out, water gets underneath the film, or you experience irritation, remove the film immediately.

4

Before removing the film, wash your hands thoroughly. Gently peel the film away while showering or using warm water to help loosen it. Pull the film back slowly along the skin rather than pulling it straight upward.

5

Gently wash the tattoo with warm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.

6

Once the skin is dry, apply a thin layer of moisturizer or tattoo aftercare product.

During the Healing Process

Avoid scratching, picking at scabs, and excessive friction. Do not soak the tattoo or swim in pools or the sea. Avoid direct sunlight until the tattoo is fully healed.
